Workforce Development Manager

You hold a relevant diploma or degree, such as social care or CIPD, and have a solid understanding of workforce development within social care. You have excellent communication skills and are adept at engaging with staff, stakeholders, and external partners. You are committed to building a culture of trust and continuous learning within your team and have a positive, can-do attitude towards overcoming challenges.

What the Job Involves

This role involves leading and managing a team to deliver a comprehensive workforce development programme within the Council's People’s Centre of Excellence. You will work closely with Social Care leads and partners to develop, implement, and manage innovative workforce development programmes, including ASYE, Apprenticeship, and Student programmes. You will manage budgets, ensure high-quality training, monitor performance, and drive service improvements. Representing the council at external events and working with partner organisations to enhance workforce skills and abilities will also be key responsibilities. You will report to the Head of Practice Improvement and will manage up to four direct reports.
