Who You Are

If you are someone who shares a passion for working with 16 and 17-year-old young people and their families, and who is determined to achieve positive outcomes for them, then this role might be for you. The ideal candidate is tenacious, persistent, resilient, and excellent at developing positive relationships with young people, their families, and partner agencies. You have a strong understanding of the issues young people face when confronted with homelessness and understand the legislation related to homeless young people.

What the Job Involves

The Social Worker in this role will be part of the Homeless Intervention Team, focusing on supporting young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will work in partnership with children and families to address their social, emotional, and environmental needs. The primary aim is to support young people to remain at or return home safely and, when that's not possible, explore accommodation options and support their development of independent living skills. Additionally, you will safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children and young people by delivering high-quality services through assessments and multi-agency outcome-focused plans.
