Childcare Lawyer (PO3)

Who You Are

We are looking for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister (Supreme Court of England and Wales/English Bar), or a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives with substantial Child Care experience. The successful candidate is a highly competent lawyer with in-depth knowledge of Child Care law, who is professional, organized, and adept at managing complex caseloads. Ideal candidates possess strong advocacy skills and are comfortable providing legal advice and undertaking their own advocacy in the Family Court.

What the Job Involves

As a Children Social Care Lawyer, you will manage a varied caseload of child protection matters, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of services. You will provide legal advice tailored to the Council’s business needs and perform advocacy at various court levels including the High Court. Supported by a paralegal and the Child Care legal management team, you will work in a dynamic environment that promotes personal legal career development and advocacy skill enhancement, while maintaining compliance with policies and standards.
