What the Job Involves
As a Housing Register, Allocations and Temporary Accommodation Assistant, you will support the Housing Register and Allocations service, providing housing advice and temporary accommodation placements. You will assist with social housing allocations, maintain the Housing Register, and manage daily temporary accommodation placements. Your role includes advising clients on housing options, facilitating move-on to permanent accommodations, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. You will actively manage casework, resolve housing applications, and support the development of temporary accommodation policies. Communication with stakeholders and addressing complaints or inquiries is also part of the role, alongside participating in service planning and contributing to the department’s continuous improvement initiatives.
