Who You Are
As a Supervisor, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our Seamer Carr or Whitby depots, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of highways and construction projects. You’ll be involved with both reactive and planned maintenance schemes as well as the capital works program within our term maintenance contract with North Yorkshire Council.
What the Job Involves
- Lead and support a team of operatives, subcontractors, and depot staff
- Plan and coordinate materials, plant, and labour
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and performance
- Mentor and develop your team to help them succeed
Skills
- Proven experience in highways or construction at Ganger level or above
- Knowledge of Traffic Management (TM1, TM2, T7)
- Understanding of health & safety legislation and quality assurance
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g., Winter 6159 Supervisor Unit 621)
