Who You Are

As a Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist in the Reablement and Independence Service, you possess demonstrable experience and skills in working with various age groups and disabilities. You have a solid foundation in community OT team practices and a commitment to fostering a learning culture through supervising and developing staff. Your initiative and responsibility-taking, paired with excellent time management and communication skills, make you adept at engaging across health, housing, and partner agencies.

What the Job Involves

In this role, you will supervise a team of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, manage a small personal caseload, and assist the OT Service Manager in effectively developing the OT service. You will chair MDT meetings, monitor work progress, ensure staff development, and work collaboratively with local agencies. Additionally, you will provide advice, support, and direction for effective case management and service delivery, including participating in audits and providing shift cover as needed.
