Who You Are
As a Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist with Slough Borough Council's Reablement and Independence Service, you will bring extensive experience working with all age groups and various pathologies and disabilities. You have a strong commitment to supervision, performance appraisals, and fostering a learning culture. You are comfortable taking initiative and have substantial experience working in community OT teams.
What the Job Involves
In this role, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to implement a strength-based community-focused model of social care. You will supervise occupational therapists and physiotherapists, manage a small caseload, and assist the OT Service Manager with delegation and service development. Key responsibilities include supporting clients with physical or mental health issues, chairing MDT meetings, monitoring team progress, managing resources, and ensuring professional staff development. You will also participate in planning meetings, audits, and provide shift work cover, with a commitment to one weekend every five weeks.
