As an Independent Reviewing Officer for Foster Carers Review, you should have a Social Work Qualification and Registration with Social Work England. You are responsible for ensuring high standards in the review processes of Camden's foster carers, collaborating with various professionals to promote effective contributions. Your work supports the continual development of children’s social care services, fostering a learning environment through shared good practices and quality assurance activities. You are well-versed in fostering regulations, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and contribute to the production of high-quality review reports to improve service delivery.
What the Job Involves
This role involves monitoring and reviewing the care standards provided by Camden’s foster carers, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies. You will chair independent annual and ad hoc fostering review meetings, work collaboratively to identify process strengths and gaps, and constructively challenge practices that need improvement. Additionally, you will contribute to multi-disciplinary training, produce detailed review reports, and undertake specific investigations as required. Establishing effective relationships with relevant partners and stakeholders is crucial to developing standards and practices in child care.
