Role

Who You Are

We are seeking an experienced and passionate agency social worker to join our dedicated Children with Disabilities Team. You will have extensive experience in statutory children's services, specifically working with children and young people with complex needs, supporting them and their families across various statutory services.

What the Job Involves

In this role, you will manage a varied and complex caseload, working with children and families from early intervention through to adoption. Your tasks will include involvement in child protection, child in need, looked after children, care proceedings, and adoption pathways. You will conduct thorough assessments, develop and review plans, participate in court work, and collaborate with health, education, and partner agencies to ensure effective, person-centred planning.

  • Conduct thorough assessments and care planning
  • Develop and review Child in Need and Child Protection Plans
  • Participate in court work, including writing reports and attending hearings
  • Collaborate with health, education, and partner agencies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records
  • Work with looked after children through to permanence or adoption

Working Arrangements include a hybrid setup with 3 days per week in the office and remote work for the remainder, totaling 36 hours per week.

Skills

  • Social Work qualification and SWE registration
  • Extensive experience in statutory children’s services
  • Experience with children with disabilities and complex needs
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload effectively
