Who You Are
We are seeking an experienced Residential Children's Home Support Worker with previous direct experience in a residential children's home setting. It is crucial to have good experience working with vulnerable children and young people facing social, emotional, and/or behavioural challenges. A Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People/Residential Care/Social Care or equivalent is essential, alongside a current enhanced DBS.
What the Job Involves
The role is based in a children's home in Liverpool, which has been rated GOOD by Ofsted. You will work as part of a team to create a warm, nurturing environment for children and young people. The role involves supporting daily operations to meet the needs of the children, including education, social development, health, and wellbeing support. You will build positive relationships with the children, help them process their life experiences, understand their strengths, envision a positive future, and ensure their safeguarding in collaboration with partner agencies. The position requires working varying shifts, including weekdays and weekends, on a three-week rotating schedule.
