Who You Are

The ideal candidate is an experienced Adult Social Worker with significant experience in social work and safeguarding. You should have a strong understanding of social care for adults, particularly older adults and adults with physical disabilities, and be ready to work in a busy safeguarding team. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

What the Job Involves

The position involves working with adults to promote their well-being and maximize independence. You will be a point of contact for the public and professionals, assessing needs and ensuring appropriate actions or signposting are taken. Responsibilities include working with adults with complex needs, liaising with other professionals for a multi-agency approach, meeting statutory requirements, supporting the development of social care workers and students, participating in safeguarding inquiries, representing the service in meetings, and maintaining accurate records. The role is remote, with a requirement to decide on two referrals per day and participate in a duty rota.
