Who You Are
Get Safe is seeking a dynamic, confident, and skilled Community Link Worker with significant experience in working with and advising vulnerable children and young people at risk of or experiencing exploitation. You should have a proven ability to engage with difficult-to-reach young people, building strong relationships with them, their families, and collaborating organizations. You are passionate about raising awareness and understanding of the GET SAFE agenda, working with partner agencies to divert young people away from exploitative situations.
What the Job Involves
You will be an integral part of the Worcestershire Children First Get Safe Team, participating in multi-agency support and protection for children and young people at risk of exploitation. The role involves working with partner agencies, including youth services, to map youth provision, build connections, and upskill youth workers. You will create a two-way referral pathway between the GET SAFE team and youth providers. Responsibilities include attending a range of meetings to promote the work of the Get Safe Team, supporting partners in spotting signs of exploitation, and undertaking direct work with children identified as vulnerable or experiencing exploitation.
