Who You Are

You are dedicated to providing high-quality advice and support to those in need, particularly homeless individuals and families in temporary accommodation. You demonstrate strong communication skills and take a practical, methodical approach to problem-solving. With experience in social care, you are committed to continuous learning and personal development.

What the Job Involves

The role involves assessing and addressing the support needs of homeless individuals and families, both in temporary accommodation and those at risk of losing their homes. You will provide general counseling and support, develop individual support plans, and coordinate with other services as needed. The job requires maintaining accurate records, participating in team meetings, and contributing to the improvement of the service. The role may include night shifts (11pm – 6am) and requires communication with clients through various means, including home visits.

  • Experience working with homeless and vulnerable people
  • Strong communication skills (phone, in-person, written)
  • Ability to assess needs and implement support plans

  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Numeracy and literacy skills
  • NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care (desirable)
  • Full and valid driving license
  • Ability to speak Welsh or a local ethnic language (desirable)
