Who You Are
A fully qualified Food competent Environmental Health Officer with the ability to conduct food hygiene and food standards inspections. You should hold either the Higher Certificate in Food Control (HCFC) or the Advanced Professional Certificate in Food Hygiene and Standards Control (APC-Food).
What the Job Involves
The role involves working independently to conduct 120 - 150 inspections of premises over a 3-month period. You will provide food business operators with inspection reports detailing legal responsibilities and best practice advice, as well as assigning a brand standard Food Hygiene Rating Scheme rating. You are required to return paperwork within 48 hours of inspections for database input. The position also includes undertaking revisits when necessary and escalating serious issues to the Lead Officer for Food and Safety.
