Who You Are
You are an experienced LGV Technician with a substantial background in motor vehicle technology, specifically with cars, light goods vehicles, municipal vehicles, and parks equipment. You have practical experience in hydraulic, welding, and electrical repairs, as well as diagnostic skills. You demonstrate a flexible approach to work, adapting to a changing environment, and have the ability to work as part of a team. You have experience using computer systems for recording work and checking vehicle history.
What the Job Involves
The role involves the service, repair, and maintenance of vehicles, plant, and equipment in line with legislative and health and safety requirements. You will carry out vehicle testing according to VOSA regulations, and ensure all maintenance work is completed effectively, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key responsibilities include performing risk assessments, managing stock levels, providing roadside assistance, diagnosing faults, and ensuring safe and satisfactory completion of all contractor work. Additionally, you will inspect and test new vehicles and those returning from contractors, as well as carry out MOT testing and ensure the cleanliness and safety of the workplace.
