Who You Are

As an Adults Social Worker, you have a significant background in social work, primarily focusing on adults, including older adults and those with physical disabilities. You are adept at using community resources and natural support networks to create sustainable care packages. Your role will involve a proactive approach to ensure active participation in care arrangements by both users and carers. You hold a professional qualification in social work and maintain current registration with Social Work England.

What the Job Involves

Your job is to work with adults and their carers to promote independence, ensure their well-being, and connect them with community resources. You will serve as a contact point, conduct assessments, manage complex needs, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements like the Care Act 2014. Additionally, you will mentor other social care workers, engage in safeguarding procedures, represent the authority in legal matters, and develop creative support plans.

  • Specialist knowledge of social work theories and practice
  • Detailed knowledge of legislation related to adults and carers
