We are seeking a versatile, agile, and experienced Team Manager with a relevant Social Work qualification. You have a proven track record of successful management and leadership in fostering or similar roles, and you are HCPC registered with a minimum of 5 years' experience in performance management. Your expertise includes working with foster carers, children, and families within a diverse, inner-city community, and you are committed to delivering high service standards across the borough.
What the Job Involves
As the Team Manager for the Fostering & Permanence Team, you will lead and manage a high-quality service, preparing the team for inspections and driving improvements in social work practice. You will act as a specialist advisor for looked after children, contribute to policy development, and effectively utilize statutory, community, and independent resources. The role involves collaboration with multi-agency partners, managing resources and budgets, supervising social workers, and representing the team internally and externally.
