What the Job Involves
This position involves performing laboring, driving, and cleaning duties across various housing and public buildings. Key responsibilities include assisting craft workers with repairs and maintenance, conducting both emergency and routine repairs, and undertaking programmed repairs and refurbishment in occupied and void properties. As a Labourer/Driver, you will manage the delivery and collection of building materials, provide on-site support to craft workers, maintain cleanliness and safety at work sites, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The role requires efficient documentation management and responsible use of a Council vehicle.
