You are a skilled carpenter dedicated to delivering high-quality carpentry work in both occupied and void properties. You have a strong sense of customer service as you represent the Council, communicating effectively with tenants, leaseholders, and the general public. With a passion for solving building faults, you take initiative in your work, ensuring projects are completed "Right First Time." You can efficiently manage your time and tasks independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
What the Job Involves
This opportunity entails conducting routine reactive repairs to major refurbishments in Council-owned properties. You'll diagnose building faults, apply effective solutions, and maintain high quality and safety standards. Collaborate with team supervisors, update work progress, and adhere to health and safety regulations. You'll document your work accurately while responding to high demand by adjusting your worked hours. Regular site visits, occasional work from heights, and a flexible schedule between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm weekdays, and Saturday mornings are required to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.
