What the Job Involves
The role involves assessing planning and associated applications, which includes site visits, consultations, negotiations, and preparing written reports with recommendations. You will handle planning appeals, represent the Council in hearings and inquiries, and provide planning advice to developers and local groups. Additionally, you will manage correspondence, negotiate S.106 agreements, and act in a Duty Planning Officer capacity. Attendance at Planning Committee meetings is also required.
