Role

Who You Are

The ideal candidate for this role will be a strategic thinker with significant experience in construction project management and project delivery. You should possess knowledge of relevant procurement processes and leaseholder management, along with familiarity with Health and Safety legislation, compliance, and the implementation of CDM regulations. As a self-motivated individual, you will have a client/resident-focused, professional, and polished approach, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in leading stakeholder engagement processes. A commitment to service excellence and a track record of positive resident engagement are essential. Problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and facilitate change are crucial. Membership in professional bodies such as the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, the Chartered Institute of Builders, or the Association of Project Managers, as well as a NEBOSH construction certificate, are desired but not essential.

What the job involves

This role is based within the M&E team within Capital Works, where you will lead M&E projects. Responsibilities include organizing and motivating a project team, developing professional relationships with management and clients/end-users, and taking overall responsibility for project delivery, ensuring adherence to agreed budgets. The role involves working closely with commercial and finance support functions. You will also be responsible for health and safety matters related to projects and ensuring seamless handover to clients and the internal asset management team. Attendance at evening and occasional weekend meetings and events is required.
