Who You Are
You are a skilled professional capable of performing building repairs, maintenance, and renewals across at least four trade disciplines, such as Plumbing, Carpentry, Plastering, Electrical, Tiling, Painting & Decorating, and Gas Safe. You are autonomous, customer-focused, and uphold high standards of workmanship. You understand the importance of health and safety, and possess a professional qualification or equivalent experience relevant to your trade. You have a full clean UK driving licence and your own vehicle with business insurance.
What the Job Involves
The role involves conducting building repairs, maintenance, and replacements in occupied and void properties owned by the Council. You will identify faults and determine cost-effective solutions, ensuring all repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard. The position requires working collaboratively with team supervisors, maintaining accurate service records, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will represent the Council in interactions with tenants, leaseholders, and the public, often working independently and navigating multiple properties daily.
