What the Job Involves
As a Support Worker, you will assist people with care and support needs in a residential or community setting. Your role includes assisting with personal care activities such as dressing, washing, bathing, and meals. You will facilitate social interaction to maintain connections with family and the community, encouraging independence through individual and group activities. Responsibilities extend to updating care plans and risk assessments, administering medication, and maintaining comprehensive records of events and significant matters. You will also ensure the safety and well-being of service users, meet health and safety obligations, and partake in ongoing training and development. Additionally, you will comply with regulations for enhanced criminal records checks.
