Who You Are
An experienced HGV Technician with a solid background in light or heavy motor vehicle engineering. You possess a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and hold at least a Category B Driving Licence. You are committed to maintaining high standards and have a keen eye for detail in your work.
What the job involves
As an HGV Technician based at Trostre Depot, you will work Monday to Thursday from 8am to 4pm and Friday from 8am to 3.30pm. Your responsibilities include servicing, inspecting, repairing, diagnosing, and maintaining Council fleet vehicles. You will also work with the hydraulics and electrical equipment related to specialised vehicle bodies.

- Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing and inspections
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing HGVs
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
- Attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
- Category B Driving Licence required
