Who You Are
We’re looking for someone with experience as a Housing Officer, particularly in Anti-Social Behaviour and Neighbourhood Management. You should be adept at engaging with tenants, handling tenancy issues, and effectively managing resources. You must be confident in spoken and written English and hold a valid driving license. You'll be based in our Harrogate Office.
What the Job Involves
The Housing Officer (Estates) will be responsible for the allocation and management of council housing within a defined district of North Yorkshire. You will monitor introductory tenancies, deal with breaches of tenancy, promote tenant participation, and liaise with both internal departments and external agencies. You will provide housing advice and work closely with the Income Management and Anti-Social Behaviour teams to create sustainable neighbourhoods. You will also be involved in estate inspections, attend court as needed, and represent the council in safeguarding and social care meetings.
