Who You Are
You are a flexible, highly motivated, and enthusiastic "people-person," with strong stakeholder and communication skills. You have a broad experience in programme coordination/administration, working within a structured project management framework, and using Microsoft Office and O365 proficiently. You ideally possess Prince2, MSP, or P3O qualification, along with financial management experience, preferably within a Local Government setting.
What the job involves
The role involves supporting the delivery of capital projects aligned with the Council's strategies and resident needs. You will manage governance and assurance processes, facilitate high-level governance boards, coordinate project logistics, and maintain project documentation. Responsibilities also include managing a team of PMO Support Officers, supporting financial monitoring for projects, ensuring adherence to health and safety requirements, and contributing to strategic initiatives to improve Centre of Excellence maturity. You will assist in the development of policies, systems, processes, and governance frameworks while promoting the council's commitment to equality.
