Who You Are
We are looking for a highly motivated, child-centred Supervising Social Worker to join our in-house Fostering Support and Development Service, overseeing Mainstream carers. With the development of a new Fostering Hub, this is an exciting time to join Lewisham's team, where you will work closely with children's social workers and other professionals to meet the needs of children in our care.
What the Job Involves
You will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of supervising social work on allocated cases, or on a short-term basis. You will maintain accurate records, ensure service users know their rights, and produce reports and correspondence for various stakeholders. Compliance with policies, procedures, and legislation is essential, as well as addressing the needs of service users from all communities. The role involves participating in duty systems, developing relationships with other agencies, ensuring safety, and actively participating in supervision.
