What the Job Involves
Join our full-time AMHP team to perform Mental Health Act assessments and related duties on a monthly rota basis. You will act as a frontline AMHP, coordinating with key partner agencies to ensure seamless multi-disciplinary and multi-agency operations. The role involves assessing and facilitating hospital admissions, exploring least restrictive alternatives, providing expert advice on the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act, and managing referrals for Guardianship and Community Treatment Orders.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act
- Experience in performing crisis assessments and coordinating hospital admissions
- Excellent communication and liaison skills with multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to provide expert advice to professionals and the public
- Experience handling referrals and managing Guardianship and Community Treatment Orders
