Who You Are

As a Senior Parent Support Advisor, you possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in working directly with children, young people, and their families, either in-home or within community settings. You have demonstrated the ability to collaborate efficiently with various communities, partner agencies, and bodies across private, public, and voluntary sectors. You excel in working with families facing multiple and complex needs and are adept at conducting family assessments and crafting intervention strategies. Your strong verbal and written communication skills enable you to work assertively within a multi-disciplinary framework, navigating negotiations and problem-solving scenarios effectively. Your proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping and coordination, such as Outlook, MS Office, and electronic case management systems, is commendable.

What the Job Involves

This role involves a comprehensive assessment of families to develop coordinated support packages. You will empower families to address challenging behaviours and enhance their dynamics, with a focus on improving educational attendance and reducing exclusions. Key responsibilities include working with families to improve parenting skills, delivering evidence-based programs, conducting assessments with the Early Help Framework, and acting as the Lead Professional in the Team Around the Family (TAF) approach. You will also collaborate with social workers for effective case management and provide direct support to schools to facilitate early help processes.
