Who You Are
An experienced Housing Advice/Prevention/Homelessness Assessment Officer capable of hitting the ground running. You should have an in-depth knowledge of Part VII Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act, and other relevant legislation. You are experienced in executing homelessness assessments, conducting casework, and drafting s184 decision letters. You can manage multiple demands and pressures within a high-pressure Housing Options Service.
What the Job Involves
You will be part of the Housing Options duty service, responsible for completing assessments and conducting related prevention and relief work. The role includes managing a varied caseload with flexible working arrangements, where you will be office-based for 50% of the time after completing an induction period. Office hours are from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, with a pay rate of £32.00. Basic DBS check required.
