You possess a strong understanding of Public Contracts Regulations (2015) and local authority governance, complemented by excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. You are adept at handling multiple procurements to tight deadlines and have a CIPS qualification or equivalent professional procurement training. Your leadership ability inspires confidence, and you are driven by a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
This role involves leading and managing the procurement and contract management for the Council's Repairs & Maintenance service. You will develop procurement strategies, lead end-to-end tendering processes, and manage supplier performance to ensure value for money, legal compliance, and alignment with strategic priorities. Your responsibilities include overseeing contracts for responsive repairs and maintenance, ensuring effective contract mobilisation, and managing compliance with procurement regulations. Engaging with internal and external stakeholders is key, as is promoting equality, diversity, and social value outcomes. You will participate in collaborative procurement initiatives and support financial planning through forecasting and benchmarking.
