Who You Are
You are a dedicated social worker who is passionate about working with children, young people, and their families/carers. You are responsible, proactive, and capable of leading assessments to identify strengths, vulnerabilities, developmental needs, and risks. You work well independently and are comfortable organising and managing your workload under the supervision of a team manager.
What the job involves
This social worker role involves planning and guiding comprehensive assessments for children, youths, and their families to create strategies, services, and interventions that address needs and reduce risks. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading inclusive assessments within the Nottinghamshire practice framework
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and departmental policies
- Maintaining accurate records and writing necessary reports
- Collaborating effectively with children, families, and various agencies
- Modeling a strengths-based approach in practice
- Participating in team meetings, supervision, and service development
