What the Job Involves

The role involves regular monitoring and tracking of students' academic progress, attendance, and personal development to identify underachievement early and coordinate appropriate interventions. You will work collaboratively with social workers, designated teachers, carers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to education and care. Providing guidance and support to school staff, particularly in understanding the needs of SEND students, forms a critical part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will assist in managing transitions between schools, key stages, or care placements to minimize disruption and maintain educational continuity.

  • Qualified teacher or experience with vulnerable children in education settings
