Who You Are
You are an experienced Social Worker with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a permanent setting. You must be willing to work 3 days per week in the office and must reside more than 50 miles from Swindon to be eligible for the travel and accommodation allowance. You are capable of driving as a part of your role.
What the Job Involves
You will join Swindon Borough Council as part of the Family Safeguarding Service. The role involves working within a POD structure that consists of 5 Social Workers and 1 Manager. You will undertake comprehensive assessments, participate in care proceedings, and develop care plans to achieve permanency for children. The role also involves working specifically with Children in Need, collaborating with adult practitioners to improve outcomes.
