Who You Are
You are an experienced arboricultural professional with a strong background in urban tree management. You possess the ability to conduct tree inspections, diagnose defects/diseases, and specify remedial works. You are familiar with tree legislation and skilled in using tree decay detection equipment. You are a strong communicator, capable of engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders. You have a positive attitude, personal drive, and a desire for ongoing learning and development.
What the Job Involves
As part of a team of arboriculture officers, you will lead in the management and inspection of the Council's tree stock. Your responsibilities include risk management and providing specialist arboricultural advice. You will issue work to Contractors and the In-house tree service, handle financial management, general administration, member's enquiries, and contract management. You will engage with a variety of stakeholders including Council officers, Councillors, Developers, Community groups, and the Public.
