What the Job Involves
As a Home Moves Plus Officer, you are responsible for reducing under-occupied households in Somerset Council's housing stock, assisting tenants to downsize, and thereby freeing up accommodation for those in need. You will engage with tenants, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with housing management policies. Your work will support the council's long-term goals of reducing strain on services by creating bed spaces and providing targeted support. You will also deliver periodic financial and performance reports, engage with stakeholders, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
