You are an experienced legal professional with a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) legislation. You are committed to ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people, and are skilled in making informed, fair, and lawful decisions.
What the job involves
This role involves providing expert legal advice, representation, and case management on matters related to SEND. You will support the Council's statutory duties under the Children and Families Act 2014 and related legislation. Responsibilities include regular case management with Senior Assessment Officers, triaging tribunal and mediation casework, and handling the most complex tribunal cases. You will also provide advice and support to the wider SEND team, deliver training, and quality assure document bundles.
