Who You Are

You are a dedicated and compassionate individual with a professional qualification in social work and current Social Work England (SWE) registration. You have experience in working with children, young people, and young adults in a statutory social care setting, and are familiar with safeguarding practices. You possess excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of relevant legislation, and a commitment to promoting equality of opportunity and safeguarding.

What the Job Involves

As a Social Worker in the All Age Disability Service at Worcestershire Children First, you will partner with children, young people, young adults, and their families to address their social, emotional, and environmental needs. Your primary responsibilities include safeguarding and promoting their welfare, assessing risks and needs, coordinating services, and ensuring well-being and safety. You will perform assessments, maintain accurate records, participate in supervision, and engage in training and development to support vulnerable children and young adults in reaching their potential.

  • Specialist knowledge of social work theories and practice
  • In-depth knowledge of current legislation for children and young adults
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
