Who You Are
You are a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England with at least 3 years of experience working with children and families in social work, particularly within a Local Authority team. You have expertise in Children Looked After and Leaving Care. You are passionate about relationship-based social work, proud of your profession, and creative in building relationships to positively impact young people's independence. You are a competent IT user, especially in tools like LiquidLogic, and hold a full driving license with access to your own vehicle for required travel.
What the Job Involves
This locum position involves working alongside an allocated Social Worker as a Leaving Care Personal Advisor, supporting young people aged 16+ in transitioning from residential homes to supported accommodation. You will be responsible for meeting Social Work and Leaving Care statutory duties during your involvement. The role may also require short-term support for other young people, ensuring that the young person remains the primary focus. The position spans both Qualified Social Worker and Leaving Care Worker roles.
