Who You Are
As a Senior Domestic Abuse Officer, you will manage and lead a group of domestic violence workers within the Family Safeguarding Team, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary professionals to support children and families in Swindon Borough. Your role will involve developing partnerships to enhance service delivery, representing the organization to external agencies, and ensuring the well-being of service users through effective risk and resource management. You have a strong background in probation services, risk assessment, team leadership, and promoting equality and diversity.
What the Job Involves
Your main responsibilities include managing and developing a team to deliver probation services, supporting the safeguarding of children and families experiencing domestic abuse. You will work closely with social services and other stakeholders to contribute to strategic planning and performance evaluation, drive improvement initiatives, manage risk in high-stakes cases, and ensure adherence to quality standards. Your role includes overseeing the performance of your team, training staff, maintaining productive relationships, and participating in organizational development efforts.
