What the job involves
As a member of the Family Safeguarding South Somerset team, you will work collaboratively with adult-focused practitioners to access intervention and advice in substance misuse, domestic abuse, and mental health. You will utilize expertise in child exploitation from the CE team and manage a manageable caseload that supports direct work with children and families in a strengths-based way. You'll receive support from permanent team managers and consultant social workers through regular and reflective supervision. You will engage with parents, the wider family network, and the whole system to support change, working flexibly from the office in Yeovil three days a week, with travel required across the rural area.
