Who You Are
You are an experienced Project Manager or Consultant with a deep understanding of the Flying Start programme. You possess knowledge of Care Inspectorate Wales inspections and National Minimum Standards for Childcare in Wales. You are familiar with Welsh Government childcare directives and funding streams. With proven experience in project management and change management, you are adept at managing large budgets and navigating procurement processes. You can plan effectively and deliver complex projects within agreed timescales.
What the Job Involves
Your role involves designing and implementing the most effective model for expanding Flying Start childcare, adhering to Welsh Government directives. You will scope and analyse delivery models from other Local Authorities in Wales and England, adapting best practices to fit Cardiff’s current model. Engaging with potential providers to understand their needs, you will review Cardiff’s existing model, ensuring all critical elements remain intact, and develop a robust, statutory-compliant delivery model that supports sustainability.
