What the Job Involves
As an Outreach Family Support Worker, you will handle complex cases stepping down from children's social care, coordinate Team Around the Family meetings, and provide intensive, targeted support to vulnerable groups. You will assess risk and needs, offer practical parenting strategies, and align your work with the Signs of Safety model. Regularly visiting families in home settings, you will maintain effective records, support service evaluations, and engage in continuous professional development. You will work under an Early Help Consultant Social Worker, contributing insights to develop the quality of the council's services.
