What the Job Involves

As a Social Worker in the Adult Social Care and Health directorate, your primary role is to contribute to the effective delivery of adult social care services. You will conduct assessments to identify individual needs, co-design support plans, and ensure their regular review and monitoring. You will be accountable for making complex decisions within legislative frameworks, preparing reports for court proceedings, and conducting safeguarding inquiries as required. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues, allied health professionals, and other agencies to meet the needs of service users. Your responsibilities include maintaining accurate case records, ensuring compliance with data protection laws, and promoting equal opportunities and non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of your work.
