Resident Liaison Officer (SO1)
Enfield Council
Role
Who You Are
As a key player supporting Enfield Council's ambitious energy efficiency programme, you are passionate about enhancing tenant comfort and warmth while reducing bills and carbon emissions across our council homes. Your role as a Resident Liaison Officer requires you to bridge the gap between residents and technical staff to ensure a seamless delivery of retrofit and major works projects. You will excel in customer-focused environments, enjoy engaging with a diverse audience, and possess a strong ability to communicate effectively. Experience in property-related environments and a keen understanding of social housing challenges will be highly beneficial to your success in this role.
What the Job Involves
This part-time position requires you to work 2 days per week, with one day on-site attending appointments, and another day working remotely or at appointments. While there is flexibility in the days worked, a preference is shown for attendance on Tuesdays. Initially appointed for a period of 3 months, there is a strong possibility of extension. Your primary role is to facilitate retrofit schemes by coordinating consultations, ensuring property access, and delivering exceptional service to tenants and leaseholders. You will collaborate with technical staff, departments, and contractors while engaging with tenants and support agencies to manage special needs, resolve access issues, and utilise local knowledge for the successful delivery of our capital programme.
