Who You Are

You are a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience in assessing and supporting individuals with disabilities. You have a thorough understanding of the impact of medical conditions and disabilities on daily living and are committed to promoting independence and wellbeing. You hold a formal degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are adaptable to the changing needs of the service and the people you support.

What the Job Involves

The role involves working in a multidisciplinary team to provide occupational therapy services to adults and children with disabilities in the community. You will conduct assessments to identify the needs related to daily living activities and recommend appropriate actions, such as equipment, adaptations, or reablement programs. The position requires adherence to relevant legislation, including the Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act, to ensure human rights and dignity are maintained. You will also be responsible for maintaining professional development and potentially supervising junior staff.
