Who You Are
You are an experienced social worker committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and young adults with disabilities. You are passionate about ensuring a seamless transition from childhood to adulthood, and you prioritize the voices and wishes of those you support. You possess a professional qualification in social work and maintain current registration with Social Work England.
What the Job Involves
As a member of the All-Age Disability Area Teams, you will provide high-quality services to children and young people with disabilities, identifying their needs and helping them reach their potential. You will work closely with SEND Services to align social care plans with EHC plans, and collaborate with multi-agency networks. This role involves assessing risks, coordinating services, and gathering and analyzing information for statutory assessments. Additionally, you will maintain accurate and confidential records, participate in the supervision process, and engage in ongoing professional development.
Skills
- Professional qualification in social work, SWE registration
- Experience in statutory social care, safeguarding
- Excellent decision-making and interpersonal skills
- Experience with vulnerable children or adults
- Experience in safeguarding investigations
- Familiarity with disabilities
- IT skills in Microsoft Office
