Who You Are

You are a committed and passionate individual with significant experience working with children and their families. You excel in delivering family support activities and working collaboratively with team members and partner agencies to improve outcomes for children and families. Possessing a high level of knowledge in child development, relevant legislation, and child protection procedures, you are able to work flexibly and on your own initiative in various challenging settings.

What the Job Involves

As a Family Support Worker, you will support children, young people, and families with a Child In Need Plan, working closely to prevent family breakdowns and help children stay safe. You will carry out direct work with children and their caregivers, provide parenting support, and engage with external and internal partners to deliver cohesive support services. The role involves working outside of normal office hours, including weekends, and requires maintaining detailed records and reports in line with safeguarding policies.
