Job Description: Social Worker - Children Services Locality Team
Who You Are
You are a passionate and experienced Social Worker who is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and their families. You have at least five years of post-qualifying experience and a strong understanding of various social work theories and models. You are devoted to improving outcomes for children through imaginative and ambitious interventions, and you are dedicated to helping Central Bedfordshire Council progress from a 'Good' to an 'Outstanding' Children’s Services rating.
What the Job Involves
As a Social Worker in the Family Help team, you will support children from assessment onwards. You will build meaningful relationships with families to create lasting change, reduce the number of children entering local authority care, and ensure timely support for children in need. Your responsibilities include managing a varied caseload, conducting direct work with children to understand their perspectives, chairing multi-agency meetings, and liaising with various professionals to support vulnerable children. You will deliver high-quality services and interventions, and present high-quality assessments and reports.
