Who You Are

As a committed and experienced social worker, you are dedicated to safeguarding the welfare of children and families. You excel in building relationships, making critical decisions, and navigating complex cases. You are registered with Social Work England and possess a keen understanding of relevant legislation, ideally with experience in presenting cases in court.

What the Job Involves

This role offers the opportunity to lead complex assessments and make safeguarding decisions that positively impact the lives of children and families. Responsibilities include undertaking detailed assessments, producing outcome-focused reports, attending multi-agency meetings, and participating in audits and quality assurance activities. You will maintain compliance with statutory guidance while supporting service development initiatives and collaborating with multi-agency partners. The varied nature of the work ensures a constantly engaging and rewarding experience.

Skills

  • Registered Social Worker with Social Work England
  • Car driver
  • Post-qualifying experience in children's social care
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Excellent assessment and decision-making skills
  • Proven leadership and case management abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in duty and assessment services (desirable)
  • Experience presenting cases in court (desirable)
  • Knowledge of multi-agency safeguarding arrangements (desirable)
