What the job involves
This role is essential in supporting the recruitment, engagement, and retention of in-house foster carers, ensuring effective placement matching and sufficiency for children and young people in care. The job includes strengthening support systems, coordinating initiatives, and identifying suitable placements. You will act as a key contact for foster carers, organize activities and events, facilitate support groups, and support service improvements through feedback. Additionally, you'll help maintain systems for monitoring needs, develop peer networks, and work with social workers to identify additional support needs.
